Food Quality and Menu The restaurant is praised for its authentic, home-style Kathiyawadi food, with dishes like rotla, potato sabji, baingan bharta, ganthiya nu saak, bajra no rotla, and chaas being especially popular.Guests appreciate the genuine local flavors, balanced use of spices, and generous portions. The food tends to be oily or buttery, matching the essence of Kathiyawadi cuisine. Some must-try items include dahi bhindi, fried curd, lasaniya bataka, and churma. The menu also offers Gujarati, Punjabi, and limited Chinese options, but the Punjabi dishes receive less enthusiasm. Service and Ambience Service is described as quick but can also feel rushed or pushy during peak hours. Staff are usually courteous and attentive, though a few reviewers note they could improve in professionalism and the customer experience.Ambience is simple, clean, and family-friendly, with both indoor and outdoor garden seating, plus unique options like khat/charpai (cot) seating for a traditional experience. Some visitors find the seating area congested, and note that using steel plates makes the restaurant a bit noisy. Value, Pricing, and Atmosphere The restaurant is considered budget-friendly and excellent value for money, attracting both locals and visitors searching for authentic regional food.Parking availability and a children's play area are additional positives for families. The overall vibe is unpretentious, ideal for casual dining rather than premium ambience seekers.
Extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience at Maruti Nandan Restaurant. The management is completely irresponsible and unorganized. No staff member properly served the food; we had to manage everything ourselves. The food was not hot at all — it was cold and seemed like stale, already prepared food was served to us. There was absolutely no taste in any dish. Prices are very high, but the quality and taste do not justify them. They didn’t even provide handwash pouches at the end. I strongly recommend not coming to this restaurant. Very poor and unacceptable service.
Maruti Nandan Restaurant is decent, but overall experience feels quite average. The food has a simple taste and quality is okay, but it could be improved to stand out more. Ambience and service are also fine but nothing special. With some attention to flavor and presentation, this place could become much better.
I had a very disappointing experience at Marutinandan Kathiyawadi. The service was extremely poor and unprofessional. Wrong food was delivered to our table, and even after informing the staff, there was no proper response or apology. What made the experience worse was the manager’s behavior. Instead of handling the issue politely, the manager was rude, arrogant, and completely uninterested in resolving the problem. Customers expect at least basic courtesy, which was totally missing here. With such careless service, wrong orders, and bad attitude from the management, this place does not value its customers at all. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointing experience.
We recently visited Marutinandan Punjabi and Kathiyawadi Restaurant, but unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. The service was extremely slow, and we had to wait a long time for our order even though the restaurant was not very crowded. It felt like the staff was not attentive enough to the customers. Another issue was that the air conditioning was not working properly, which made the dining experience uncomfortable, especially in warm weather. The crockery also looked very old and worn out, which did not give a very hygienic or pleasant impression. When you visit a restaurant, you expect good service and a comfortable environment along with the food. Sadly, our experience here did not meet those expectations. We hope the management takes these points seriously and improves the service, maintenance, and overall dining experience for future customers.
