Visited this most popular & crowded place for Lunch at 12 noon. Neatly cleaned tables / hand wash area. Found a table and ordered a normal meals served hot with piping hot vegetanle sambar + beetroot poriyal + lemon pickle + paayasam. Followed by kaara kuzhambu ( normal taste) and moru kuzhambu ( attakaasam taste) along with unlimited rice. Meal is priced at ₹130 which is fairly priced according to me. Loved the simplicity of the food. Got a take away exclusively for koru kuzhambu for the extraordinary taste! Also noticed that they were serving tiffin items ( dosa, idly, etc) during lunch time as well.
Visited this place today... Hotel was not crowded with many tables empty... Waited for over fifteen minutes and no waiter came and asked for the order... In fact, there were a couple of waiters who were standing but chose not to ask for order ... I came out... Before coming out, i told this to the person managing the cash counter, who appeared to be someone from the management side... Instead of apologising, he asked me where was I sitting, which table etc... just the attitude irritates to the core... Are they giving charity or what ??? With such arrogance, they will be out of business soon...
I particularly given 1 star for food, service and atmosphere because that's exactly what i felt. It is almost midnight and I'm still belching on the meals I had this noon. Food quality really poor. As far as the service is concerned, the waiters literally toss the food on the table they don't even respect food on traditional basis. They ask 5 rupees for a broken puppad and restrict us from drinking buttermilk. They say they have buttermilk only for rice. Atmosphere is needless to say you can just see the picture they have the least atmosphere with least cleanliness I have no idea how this place have 4 star rating.
The food taste is one level down from what I used to have 17 years ago. I went in search of this place to enjoy the food that I used to love those days... It is still good, but not that great like olden days.
Average hotel with good old traditional taste n way of serving on banana leaf Keera vada is the best of all Some items are good but quantity of food is less in all Service is at the zero level My on n off go to place, this I had a mini tiffin which worth of all
