Pracheen Hanuman Mandir, located near Connaught Place, Delhi, is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Delhi. There’s something deeply grounding about this mandir—the kind of place where tradition hasn’t changed with time, and faith still flows the old way. I visited on 6.01.2026, which happened to be the first Tuesday of 2026. As expected, the crowd was massive. Let me be very honest here: the wait time was around 2½ hours, and the actual darshan lasted barely 30 seconds. It tests your patience, no doubt about it. But once you stand before Shri Hanumanji, the exhaustion fades. The energy, the devotion, the chants—everything comes together in that brief moment. For devotees, it’s worth it. After taking blessings, I walked over to the famous Hanuman Kachori Centre nearby and had kachori. Simple food, traditional taste, and genuinely satisfying. It’s fresh, flavorful, and hits the spot after a long wait. Do try it at least once—you won’t regret it. A practical word of advice: If you want a peaceful darshan, avoid visiting on Tuesdays and Saturdays. These days attract huge crowds, and the experience can feel rushed. On other days, things are far more manageable, and the overall experience remains excellent. It's one of oldest Hanuman mandir. A lot of devotees come here everyday, on Tuesday the temple is packed. The temple needs a bit of neatness inside and outside. At places it looks shabby. There are some popular eating joints including a tea stall.

A small heads-up: be careful of the monkeys around the temple—they’re very active, so keep your belongings safe 😄. Also, right outside the temple, there’s a kachori wala who serves some of the best kachoris—a must-try after darshan! Overall, it’s a must-visit temple in Delhi—full of faith, positive vibes, quick darshan, and great food nearby. Highly recommended for anyone seeking blessings and a soulful experience. 🙏✨

Visited on a Sunday and had a very smooth and peaceful darshan due to the relatively less crowd. The movement inside the temple was swift, and the overall experience was extremely pleasant. The premises are clean and well maintained, with Hanuman Chalisa and Sundarkand booklets available to read and return. All deities are beautifully adorned, and the Santoshi Maa idol is especially stunning. The prachin Hanuman temple has a very powerful and calming energy that is felt the moment you enter. Outside the temple, there are shops selling puja materials, and a kachori shop that is a must-try after darshan. A Shiv and Shani Dev mandir is also located nearby. Shoe deposit counters are available, though many people also leave their footwear outside conveniently.
