I had been suffering from persistent neck pain for several months. After consulting Dr. Sumeet Pawar, he carefully examined me and suggested an MRI of the cervical spine. The MRI confirmed his clinical diagnosis — diffuse disc bulge compressing the neural foramina and exiting nerve roots at the C4–C6 level. Dr. Pawar clearly explained both options — conservative management with medicines or surgical correction to prevent future worsening. Initially, I was reluctant about surgery, so he prescribed medications and thoroughly explained the entire procedure. Later, after taking two more neurosurgical opinions, both of which also advised surgery, I was convinced it was necessary. The other surgeons suggested an anterior (front neck) approach, which leaves a large scar and carries risks such as bleeding, voice change, and a longer recovery period. However, Dr. Pawar proposed an Endoscopic Posterior Cervical Approach — a minimally invasive technique done from the nape of the neck with a very small incision. I underwent surgery the next morning. The cervical decompression and discectomy were performed under general anesthesia, and the procedure went smoothly. Remarkably, as soon as the anesthesia wore off, my neck pain had completely disappeared! The incision was less than 1 cm and needed no stitches. I could walk and perform all routine activities the very next day, and was discharged soon after. Dr. Sumeet Pawar personally met me and my family on the day of discharge, explained the surgical details, and showed genuine empathy and care. His approach towards patients is extremely humble, polite, and compassionate — he truly treats you like family. The hospital staff was also very attentive and caring throughout. Now, 5 days after surgery, I’m completely pain-free and back to my routine, except for lifting weights. I sincerely appreciate Dr. Sumeet Pawar for his exceptional surgical skills, deep knowledge, patient counseling, compassion, and dedication. We consulted Dr. Pawar for my uncle, Mr. Jayesh Parmar, who had neurological issues and difficulty with daily activities. He was prescribed expensive medicines for nearly 2 months, which later had to be stopped by neurologists at Sion Hospital. The delay wasted valuable time and could have led to serious complications. He has now been correctly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and started on appropriate, affordable treatment. I strongly advise seeking a second opinion. (I had searched Dr Pawar from Google as a good Dr, but it didn't help) Kindly do not keep on giving the medicine with your assumptions. Thanks
