Great budget-friendly stay very close to the New Delhi Railway Station. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special mention to the staff who were incredibly courteous and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was delicious with plenty of varieties. Perfect value for money if you want to stay central. Highly recommended!
Very disappointing experience at Singh Empire Hotel. The service was poor from the moment we arrived — staff were unhelpful, slow to respond, and seemed uninterested in resolving issues properly. Communication was inconsistent and we were repeatedly given unclear information. The hotel looks far better online than in reality. Cleanliness and overall maintenance did not meet expectations, especially considering the price paid. What made it worse was the lack of professionalism when concerns were raised. Would not stay here again and would advise others to read recent negative reviews carefully before booking
Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Management & No Transparency I had a highly frustrating experience with this hotel. Before booking, I clearly confirmed with the front desk that unmarried couples are allowed. However, after completing the online booking, they completely changed their statement and said it is not allowed. What’s worse is that they suggested coming directly and paying extra money instead of booking online, which is highly unprofessional and unethical. When I requested a refund due to this misleading information, they refused and provided no proper support. The management is extremely poor. The manager was unresponsive and unhelpful, and the staff avoided even sharing basic details when asked. While Priya from the team handled the situation politely, the overall management behavior was unacceptable. This hotel seriously needs to improve transparency, staff training, and customer handling. Misleading customers and then denying refunds is not acceptable. I strongly do not recommend this hotel.Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Management & No Transparency I had a highly frustrating experience with this hotel. Wrong Room, False Amenities, and 3.5 Hours of Waiting 10 days ago i did booking at The Singh Empire Hotel. My check-in time was 12 PM. Before reaching the hotel, I informed them through a message with my booking ID that I would arrive around 1 PM, and they replied that they were waiting for me. I had booked an Executive Triple Room with amenities like central air conditioning, minibar, and hair dryer. But they gave me Room 209, which was completely different from the photos on the booking website. The room was dirty, smelled terrible, had seepage on the walls, dirty bedsheets and pillows, and none of the promised amenities. The biggest shock was when I switched on the window AC and black dirt started blowing out of it. When I complained, the receptionist refused to accept the mistake and kept saying that the room was the same as the one I booked and that "pictures don't matter." Only after I showed the room details and amenities on MakeMyTrip did they admit it and showed me Room 302, which was actually the room I had booked. They had intentionally given me the wrong room first. They asked me to wait 30 minutes, then another 10 minutes, then another 5 minutes. Finally, after wasting 3.5 hours, I got my correct room at 4:30 PM. Even then, the staff claimed they were giving me the room "out of courtesy." This was completely unacceptable because I had booked the room on 5 June and had even informed them before arriving to keep it ready. To make things worse, the staff were not wearing name badges. In Room 302, the hair dryer was not working, and the minibar had no cooling at all. They fixed the hair dryer after I complained, but the minibar never worked. This hotel is running a fraud by advertising better rooms with facilities on booking websites and then giving customers cheaper and inferior rooms. They completely ruined my family's trip and our stay in Delhi. I am also attaching photos of the terrible Room 209 they first gave us. My advice to all tourists: Stay away from this hotel. Do not trust the room photos or amenities listed online.
Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location & Food I stayed at The Singh Empire on DB Gupta Road, New Delhi for 3 nights Aug 29th to Sept 1st after booking through Booking.com and paying around 12 thousands only. The hotel claims to be a 4-star property, but unfortunately, my experience did not match that standard. The first suite allotted to me was shabby, dirty, and significantly smaller than the advertised 325 sq. ft. After complaining, the room was changed, which was somewhat bigger but still poorly maintained. The room was inadequately lit, one light was not working, a switchboard was coming out of the wall, the TV was awkwardly placed, and the wardrobe, sofa and even the intercom handset were visibly dirty. The bed linen was not changed for two days until I specifically requested it. The bathroom door was fitted with a fibre sheet, which also felt far below a 4-star standard. The toiletries were disappointing, although the dental and shaving kits were reasonably good. On the positive side, the AC worked well, bathroom slippers were provided, and there was sufficient tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The staff were courteous and the service was good, which was one of the better aspects of the stay. The food was also genuinely good, tasty and reasonably priced, with a breakfast offering a good variety of options. However, serving food on broken/chipped plates is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4-star. The location is good and well connected, but the rooms have virtually no view—the windows open towards a closed side of the hotel. Overall, the property desperately needs proper maintenance and renovation. Most importantly, the hotel should use accurate and genuine photographs on booking platforms, because the pictures shown online are considerably different from the actual rooms and facilities. Overall: Good location, friendly staff and good food, but the room quality, cleanliness, maintenance and misleading photographs seriously affected the experience. Definitely not what I expected from a claimed 4-star hotel.
