📛REMOVE KATHIYAVADI FROM THE NAME 📛 just do gardening don't do what you can't 🫤😕🫤 this isn't bhakhri, gp to kathiyavad and ask bhakhri, and eat your food also once before adding in menu
Highly recommend for best family get togethers in our friendly budget. We took dinner on 30th Jan’2025. Price is very reasonable I have visited 2 times. A huge spacious place to have fun with a family.Very good garden restaurant & sitting arrangement . A spot for children to play, parking area and surrounded beautiful with trees. A really nice place in city to enjoy the village style sitting and variety of food. Best place for Kathiyawadi food especially vaghrelo rotlo, it’s so yummy and spicy. Even the punjabi food taste is very good. Khichadi was good in taste.👌👍
We visited Shree Marutinandan Kathiyawadi Garden Restaurant – Sindhu Bhavan with our family, but the experience was very disappointing. Despite paying ₹300 per person, the food quality was below average and not worth the price. All 20 of us felt it was a complete waste of money — even the basic taste and service were not up to the mark. If you’re planning to visit, please check recent reviews before going.
Shree Marutinandan (often located near Sindhu Bhavan Road, Bodakdev) is a well-established and large casual dining venue in Ahmedabad, primarily known for its extensive menu focused on Kathiyawadi and Pure Vegetarian cuisine, though it also serves Punjabi, Chinese, and South Indian dishes. It's often frequented by families and large groups, especially given its spacious premises and garden seating options. Ambiance and Atmosphere (3.5/5) The restaurant typically features a spacious setting, often including outdoor or garden seating areas which are frequently praised for providing a pleasant atmosphere. The decor and comfortable seating arrangements aim for a warm and inviting dining experience. It's often set up to accommodate large gatherings, including having banquet facilities. Cuisine and Quality (3/5) The primary draw is the authentic Kathiyawadi cuisine, with staple highlights like Masala Khichdi, various rotlas (like Bajri no Rotlo), and traditional Kathiyawadi vegetable dishes. • Menu Highlights: Signature dishes often include Kathiyawadi specials, Besan Gatta, and various Paneer preparations in the Punjabi section. The menu is vast, offering something for every palate. • A major point of inconsistency is the quality of the food. Many patrons praise the authentic taste of the Kathiyawadi items, noting them as flavorful and fresh. However, a significant number of recent reviews suggest a drop in quality, with complaints about consistency, dishes tasting similar, and being overpriced for the portion/quality received. Shree Marutinandan is best recommended if you are craving specific, authentic Kathiyawadi items and are visiting during off-peak hours to avoid service issues. The spacious setting is suitable for large family dinners. However, prospective diners should manage expectations regarding service speed and food consistency, as reviews suggest a wide range of experiences.
Dining at The Spice Route was a truly authentic and fiery journey into the heart of Kathiyawadi cuisine. This regional Gujarati food is a welcome departure from the sweeter variants of the state, leaning heavily on robust spices, garlic, and chilies to deliver unapologetic flavor. The meal began with the classic Lasaniya Bateta, small potatoes simmered in a rich, garlicky red gravy. It delivered a powerful kick, perfectly balanced by the side of creamy, homemade white butter (makhan). This was expertly paired with soft Bajra no Rotlo—a rustic pearl millet flatbread—which offered a comforting, wholesome texture to soak up the intense curry. We also sampled the signature Ringan no Oro (a smoky, mashed eggplant dish) and the tangy Sev Tameta nu Shaak, where gram flour noodles soften into a spicy tomato gravy. Both dishes were fresh and showcased the cuisine's ingenious use of simple, local ingredients. The atmosphere complements the food's rustic charm, featuring traditional low seating and brass cutlery that adds to the village-style experience. While the heat level is intense, it's an exciting, flavorful heat, not overwhelming. The final touch of simple Gol-Ghee (jaggery and clarified butter) provided the perfect sweet counterpoint to the spice. For anyone seeking a hearty, aggressively flavorful, and authentic Gujarati meal, The Spice Route is a must-visit.
