Connects north chennai with south chennai
Awesome place with many Shops competing with T.Nagar. The place of my birth. But changed a lot in the last 20 years with heavy traffic.
Once upon a time T Nagar, Mylapore and Parrys were important shopping places.. But now Purasawalkam is also one of the most important shopping areas.. In Chennai... All major stores have their branches here.. Bus facilities to all areas available here... Today April 5th, 2018...Purasawalkam is completely shutters down.. In response to the local bundh called by the Opposition parties.. Buses are lean on the road..with a long frequency.... So just change your programming today as per situation... Thank you!!!

This is a bus stop. Nearby is the Hindu temple which has a traditional tank filled with water. And this place is known therefore as Purasaiwakkam tank. You will only see the huge tank when you enter through the temple gate.
