Worst experience … ill mannered and making fool of people

I made a purchase of customized furniture — including a cupboard, shoe rack, bed, and bookshelf — worth ₹74,000. The vendor initially appeared trustworthy and polite, but after receiving an advance payment, the experience quickly turned negative. The delivery was delayed by 67 days, despite repeated requests and follow-ups. When the items were finally delivered, the quality was extremely poor. The bed, in particular, was made with substandard materials and workmanship. It became clear that the vendor had no actual experience in carpentry; he outsourced the work to unskilled third-party labor. Although he had initially promised a 10-year guarantee, the furniture began to show signs of damage within two months. For the past month, he has claimed that someone would come to repair the items, but no one has shown up. Now, he refuses to take responsibility and has demanded ₹12,000 in advance for repairs — a demand that is completely unjustified. Worse, he has threatened me by saying: “Do whatever you want. I’m not a small shopkeeper — I have my own goons who can destroy you. Don’t be smart and forget about repairs unless you pay me.” I now feel cheated, financially and emotionally. I urge others to be cautious before dealing with this vendor.
