Located at 4B Raja Rajkrishna Street in the Khanna area of North Kolkata, Shree Shree Radha Gobindo Jew Thakurbari is a historic Gaudiya Vaishnava temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radharani. Temple Details History and Construction: The temple was constructed in 1915 by Late Sree Dinonath Das, the great-great-grandfather of the current managing family. It is now over 110 years old and is managed by the fourth generation of the Das family. Opening/Closing Times: The temple typically opens in the morning from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and reopens in the evening from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Puja and Arati: Major Hindu festivals, particularly Janmashtami, Radhashtami, and Dol Yatra (Holi), are celebrated with special pujas and rituals. Nearby Jain Temples (Pareshnath Mandir Complex) Located approximately 500 meters away at Badridas Temple Street in Gouribari is the famous Calcutta Jain Temple complex, widely known as the Pareshnath Mandir. The Main Shrine: Built in 1867 by philanthropist Rai Badridas Bahadur Mookim, it is dedicated to Sri Shitalnath Ji (the 10th Tirthankara). Complex Details: The complex consists of four temples, including shrines for Chandraprabhujidev and Mahavir Swami. It is renowned for its "Shish Mahal" (Palace of Mirrors) and intricate marble work. Transportation and Accessibility The temple is situated near the Khanna Intersection (crossing of APC Road and Vivekananda Road), making it highly accessible.
