Last night, I had the opportunity to dine at Harithakam, a restaurant that seems to garner mixed reactions. The most prominent feature of my experience was the pricing – it leaned towards the expensive side, which initially raised my expectations regarding the overall experience. One of the highlights was the Beef Roast. It was cooked to perfection, offering a delightful blend of flavors that was both rich and satisfying. However, the enjoyment was slightly overshadowed by the price, which seemed excessively high even for a dish of its quality. On the downside, the ambiance didn't quite hit the mark. For the premium price paid, one would expect an environment that complements the dining experience, but Harithakam fell short in this aspect. The decor and atmosphere lacked the finesse and charm that are typically associated with restaurants. In conclusion, while Harithakam does offer some culinary delights like the excellent Beef Roast, the overall experience is dampened by the high costs and underwhelming ambiance. It might be suitable for those willing to splurge on specific dishes, but for a complete dining experience, it may not meet expectations.
Visit 4 (a year after) - seems they are not longer serving Chatti choru. Instead same items serving as special Pothi choru. Tried chicken biriyani this time, Got 2 chuncky chicken pieces which seemed to be fried piece rather than boiled. Quantity was enough for me. Pickle and chutney which used to come with biriyani earlier was missing. Visit 3: this time got Chatti choru which I was planning to have since last visit. Just wow. This dish exceeded my expectations. It had many varieties of egg, chicken, beef, fish. Dry and fried items along with many veg dishes. I could not eat everything. All items were super tasty. Very economical than non veg thali meals that I have seen in other restaurants. At this day of review it costs 370₹. Must try dish if you can eat well. Visit 2: ordered chatti choru. There was some confusion whether it is available or not. Finally they said it's available when checking with someone. Unfortunately they served another dish (idiyirachi choru). It was tasty but I feel little disappointed they gave me something else rather than my actual order. During billing when i asked about it, they said original dish was not available. Not sure if this is some misunderstanding or not. I am reducing one start from service section. Visit 1: Food tasted good. Ambience could have been better. I ordered egg biriyani and chicken fry. I'm satisfied with taste of Kerala style biriyani.
Visited Harithakom restaurant Aug 10,2024. Ordered parotta and Beef roast. Parotta - 25 per piece Beef roast- 210 One of the worst beef dish i had in my entire life. Beef roast they have charged is 210 which is too much for the quantity and quality. Beef was not properly cooked, big pieces which were very hard to chew. Totally unhealthy to eat such kind of food. Only 6-7 pieces were present. Roast is full covered with onion and tomato stuffs no beef pieces were present. Please don’t visit this restaurant. Totally disappointed 😡😡 Money was wasted.
Was here last week for lunch. Parking is on the streets, the interior needs some deep clean, the restaurant doesn't have a working restroom (they'll need to work on these.) Food here is amazing, except for the same base used for egg and chicken. Value for money. The staff are extremely polite and helpful with recommendations.
