The Mutton and Chicken Biriyani was not to the hype and it was above average only. Bread Halwa was nice. Service was slow and they looked not interested and we had repeatedly remind for our order. They did not write down while ordering. The saving grace was the parking space next to the restaurant. Cleanliness too was not to expectations. I am not sure, if I will visit them again.

I’m writing this while still sitting in the shop because I seriously can’t believe how bad this food is. I ordered both chicken and mutton biryani, and I honestly regret every bite. The biryani looks decent on the plate, but the taste is just not there. It’s basically colored tomato rice – no real biryani flavor, no aroma, nothing. The chicken is dry and tasteless, like it was cooked separately and just tossed on top. The mutton is chewy and bland. Even the egg was overcooked and hard like rubber. The grill piece had a flavor, but that’s about it – felt more like an afterthought. What’s shocking is that even a ₹150 roadside biryani tastes better than this. At least that has some real masala and heart in it. This? Just a big letdown in every way. I had high expectations, but worst experience

We went on New year around 2 pm place is bit busy for dining and parcel. We decided to buy mutton biriyani 340 per parcel with Chicken 65 boneless 250 total 930. The taste of Mutton Biriyani was aweson with tender meat and juicy flavour of meat in the rice.

Extremely disappointing experience. I travelled 20 km to buy biryani from Ya Mohideen, Pallavaram branch, expecting the quality they are famous for. What I received for ₹230 was mostly masala with barely any rice. This is not biryani at all. The quantity and quality are unacceptable, especially considering the price and reputation of the brand. I’ve attached photos for proof. This is honestly one of the worst biryani experiences I’ve had in Chennai. Ya Mohideen needs to seriously look into quality control at this branch. Customers don’t travel this far to be disappointed like this.

As dated on 04 October 2025, went to have lunch. The chicken Briyani was above average. The ambiance didn’t feel good. The quantity of rice and chicken pieces was good. The taste and quality need to be improved a lot. The salt was very less. The bread halwa was so good… The Raitha (Curd) and brinjal curry also not good. The price seems to be bit high for chicken Briyani. The atmosphere definitely needs a lot to improve
