My recent experience at Moghal Empire Restaurant in Shibpur, Howrah, was nothing short of appalling, warranting an immediate health and safety inspection. The highly anticipated Mutton Biryani arrived lukewarm, and worse still, a noxious, stale odor emanated from the rice and meat, indicating severe lack of freshness, bordering on rotten. The chicken accompanying the dish was dry and tough, clearly having been cooked days prior and reheated, possessing a disturbingly rancid flavour that made it entirely inedible. Only the rolls were average. This establishment's utter disregard for basic food hygiene and quality control makes it a place to actively avoid, transforming what should have been a pleasant meal into a genuinely sickening ordeal.
The restaurant doesn't have very big space inside of it but there are 7 or maybe 8 number of tables are available......🤔 6 persons are easily can adjust in one table. So you won't face any issue if you are going with your friends and family. The restaurant is good at its services and the food quality as well as the quantity is also very good. There are AC & NON AC tables are available...... AC tables food prices are little high as compare to the NON AC tables. They don't accept the online payments like UPI, POS etc etc......🙂 They only accept cash payments. It is on main road so you can easily reach there. But there are some car parking issue so ask the local person before parking the car.
The restaurant is situated at carry road crossing (Left side) alongside highway from vidyasagar setu toll tax and santragachi/belepole.Some 1 km from toll tax.The highest selling item here is chicken biriyani, the quantity is more than sufficient for 1 people. They also prepare rolls, the egg roll & Chicken roll highest selling with sufficient chunks of Chiken and the paratha will mealt in your mouth. The highest advantage of this restaurant is it's location and extremely reasonable price. The quantity & quality is commendable.
Tried the chicken roll, chicken tandoori, and chicken biryani – all three tasted amazing The chicken tandoori was juicy and perfectly cooked, full of tandoori flavor and the biryani was both aromatic and delicious. The service was also good. A must-try.
The only biryani place in entire kolkata which I am obsessed with.
