One of the best luxury bus services in the city from Kolkata to Varanasi the trip of flawless and before time arrival
My experience is good rather then other bus services in the route of kolkata to siliguri. Even they have stop 2 hotels in the mid of journey they are also good. I will rate comfort 10/10, cleanness 10/9, other facility 10/9. More over I'm happy in short value of money.
Excellent bus. The bus service is very good. On time departure. Mostly on time arrival. Bus inside is neat & clean. Pilot & other staff polite, good & helpful. If you come from Durgapur, Asansol come with Greenline Volvo buses.
Dear Green Line Bus Services Team, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my extremely disappointing experience while travelling on 21st February from Varanasi to Kolkata. To begin with, the overall hygiene standards of the bus were unacceptable. The bus was not properly cleaned, the bedsheets had visible stains, and the storage compartments were stuffed with used wrappers. Such negligence in cleanliness reflects very poorly on a service operating in the travel and hospitality sector. More concerning, however, was the serious safety lapse. The bus tyres were clearly not properly maintained, as the vehicle suffered two punctures during the journey. This not only caused significant delay but also posed a major safety risk to all passengers on board. The behaviour of the staff was equally disappointing. The crew was uncooperative and discourteous throughout the journey. In particular, the manner in which a female passenger was treated when she requested a washroom break was highly inappropriate. While I understand that stopping on highways is not always feasible, some degree of flexibility and basic courtesy—especially when travelling with women—should be expected from a reputed transport operator. The lack of empathy shown was unacceptable. Additionally, the infotainment system was deliberately switched off by the drivers, who openly stated that it was a “headache” for them to guide passengers on its usage. This is unprofessional and defeats the purpose of offering such amenities. Lastly, providing only a single 500 ml water bottle for a 12–14 hour journey is inadequate. When an additional bottle was requested, the attendant refused and asked passengers to purchase one during a stop. Denying basic necessities during such a long journey demonstrates poor service standards. With so many competitive and well-managed operators in the market, it is surprising and disappointing that a long-standing company like Green Line continues to operate with such inadequate maintenance and unprofessional staff conduct. This has been one of my worst travel experiences, and unless serious corrective measures are taken, I would strongly reconsider choosing Green Line in the future. I expect a formal response addressing these concerns and outlining the actions you intend to take. Sincerely, Pronay Dutta
