Visited Bawarchi at RTC Cross Roads while I was nearby for some personal work. Had to wait about 5 minutes for a seat as it was quite crowded (Friday lunch rush!). Ordered Mini Mutton Biryani with extra onion salad (₹10) and a Thums Up. Quantity was perfect for one person, and the biryani was absolutely delicious 😋 If you’re around RTC Cross Roads, this place is a must-try for biryani lovers. Attaching the bill for reference. However, I noticed something on the bill that I’d like to highlight. The total was ₹224.50 after taxes, but it was rounded off to ₹225. While ₹0.50 may seem small, I believe the round-off amount should ideally be adjusted by the restaurant and not charged to the customer. When billing is system-generated, customers shouldn’t have to pay extra due to rounding differences. It’s a small amount, but over many customers, this adds up. I hope the management looks into this for fair billing transparency.

The food taste is really good and that’s the main reason I’d visit again. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the mutton pieces were good and well-prepared. Service and staff behavior, however, were just average. The staff strongly insisted on ordering a larger quantity, saying it wouldn’t be enough, and the way it was communicated felt a bit pushy and attitude-driven. In reality, the quantity was more than sufficient. It sometimes feels like staff may be encouraged to upsell based on revenue, which can be uncomfortable for customers. I understand and am completely fine with the policy that orders can’t be canceled once the token is issued (this is clearly mentioned inside the restaurant). But interestingly, when we asked about upgrading an order (chicken to mutton biryani), the staff mentioned they managed it by exchanging with another customer’s order—so flexibility does exist. Right before billing, the waiter suddenly became extra polite and started praising us—which clearly felt like tip time 😂 Overall, I have no complaints about the food or the restaurant itself. The issue seems more related to staff behavior, or possibly just one particular staff member.

Bawarchi Restaurant, RTC X Road Tried the mini chicken biryani and it was excellent in taste. The quantity was more than enough for one person really appreciated that. Quality-wise, it’s easily one of the best biryanis in Hyderabad. As everyone knows, this is one of the oldest and most famous spots, and this is the real Bawarchi at RTC X Road, not the other similarly named outlets. Coming to ambience, it’s decent, and the price is just ₹140, which is super affordable for the quality and portion size. A must-try biryani place for anyone craving authentic Hyderabad biryani.

Visited Bawarchi Restaurant, Hyderabad and had a wonderful experience. We ordered mutton biryani and mutton haleem, and both were absolutely delicious. The mutton biryani was perfectly cooked with flavorful spices and tender pieces of meat. The aroma and taste were authentic and truly satisfying. The mutton haleem was rich, well-cooked, and had a smooth texture with excellent taste. Overall, the food quality was very good and worth the visit. Highly recommended for biryani lovers in Hyderabad!

We went around 5:30 p.m., and the place was completely packed — every single seat was occupied, with people happily enjoying their biryani. That itself speaks volumes about its popularity! The biryani was spicy, perfectly flavorful, and absolutely heavenly. The quantity was very apt for two people — satisfying without being excessive. Every bite was rich, aromatic, and authentic. We ordered biryani, haleem, Coke, fresh lime soda, and a full biryani — and everything together was within ₹500, which is incredibly pocket-friendly for the quality and taste offered. If you’re craving authentic Hyderabadi biryani with great value for money, this place is a must-visit. Totally worth the hype! 🍛✨
