NOT RECOMMENDED. Awful experience. We just came back from their store today. Limited collection. Salesmen at the store don’t know how to behave with the customers. Adamant about showing punjabis.
Their collection is very effective, the in-shop sales person are very efficient in providing you the things you need, they know what you need and if you are confused they will suggest good things. The only thing as compared to Sahenshah and other clothing stores are Kinnar Kinnaree doesn’t provide any discounts or royalties.
This so called 'famous' kurta/panjabi store doesn't even know how to treat a customer, unfortunately. Since I was a kid, I have been hearing the name of Kinnar Kinnaree to be quite a reputed shop in Kolkata. I went there today, hoping to get a good ethnic wear for my wedding. I was greeted by a person from the outside who showed us the panjabi section and when I went there, none of the employees seemed to be interested in greeting or asking what do we need. They were too occupied to chat among themselves, as if it felt like they get salary for chatting only and not dealing with customers. When I asked for my specific need to one of their staffs, he clearly told me there are some in the display.. let me know which one you like then I will show. Zero hospitality, zero sales skills, zero enthusiasm of making a sale. It's like, if a customer desperately wants to buy then it's his/her choice, otherwise they won't give a damn about it. Without taking much of their time and bothering them in between their gossip session, my family and I left immediately. High time the management look after this , I'm sure , they won't also want their goodwill to get hampered by some incompetent staffs.
A shop offering an exclusive range of men’s traditional ethnic wear. The range covers the low cost as well as high end fashion, from traditional to contemporary designs. This has been our favourite shop for years now and we enjoy shopping here. This time the shopping was for a wedding in the family and we shopped for silk kurta, pleated dhoti, ‘garad’ wear and cotton / linen stuff. Extremely satisfied with the experience.
10/10 experience. Walked in at 8:50(closing time is 9:15-9:30), the sales dude got our measurements in under 2 seconds. Walked out by 9 with 5 kurtas and a big smile on my face. 100% recommend tourists visit Kinnar Kinnaree to pick up some authentic kurtas.
