I visited Shimla Biryani (Topsia branch) with high expectations due to its reputation, but the experience was extremely disappointing. When I asked the staff for recommendations, the response was dismissive and unhelpful — I was simply told that “everything is good.” After placing the order, I requested a small modification by adding items, but was informed that while additions were allowed, nothing from the original order could be removed. The interaction felt rigid and lacked basic customer courtesy. The real issue, however, was the food quality and hygiene. When the dishes were served, my family discovered a fly in the food. This completely ruined our appetite and trust in the restaurant’s cleanliness standards. No matter what mistakes happen in service, hygiene is something customers should never have to compromise on. Additionally, the chicken tandoori was dry, stiff, and far from fresh or juicy. The chicken do pyaza lacked flavor and did not resemble the dish it was supposed to be. The overall food quality was far below expectations. Because of this experience, we could not continue eating and our entire dinner was spoiled. Spending ₹1200 here felt like a complete waste of money. Unfortunately, this visit has ensured that I will not return. I hope the management takes hygiene, food quality, and customer service more seriously in the future.

Possibly they offer best Kolkata Biryani. If you want to try Shimla Biryani, try from this outlet only. But the shop is in a congested place and far from main road. Atmosphere is not very clean and hygiene. So, better do a food pick up and enjoy the taste at home.
