If you are ever passing by Café 1A which you have never known and you feel like grabbing something refreshing then a cup of cold coffee with ice-cream would surely lift you up however if you want to feast on something heavy like pasta I would rather prefer you try something else.
Ordered chicken pasta and I could hardly find any chicken on it. The taste was so bad, they said it's their speciality. It was the worse pasta I ever had. Don't know how can they charge 180 for it.
The food was good. Especially the sweet chicken curry. It's a very good location. Good for couples. But its very very small. There's no washroom. Maximum 8 people can have their meal in the cafe.
I work right across the street from this friendly, tiny cafe and have been snacking there for the last year. So, I'm clearly biased. But it feels so cosy to climb up the spiral staircase and settle in the small tables for my usual fare of momos or sandwiches, washed down with some coffee. Have also rarely tried a pizza or a soup, but have not gone through the rest of the menu at all, so can't comment. However, on those bad days when work stress is really getting to you, their cold coffee with ice cream and choco chips is sure to drown your sorrows in a wave of decadent creamy goodness. Statutory warning: Large groups of people with vertigo, don't go in :p
This is a tiny cafe located near Amri Hospital, Dhakuria. The cafe looks smaller from outside than it actually is.The sitting area is on the top floor and the stairs are dangerously narrow and unsteady. But the place is well-maintained and clean. The prices are moderate but the food quality and quantity were not as great as promised. The menu special fried ice-cream was a bit disappointing despite the good presentation since there was more bread than ice-cream.
