A Fantastic Cinema Experience with Great Games and Grub! I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed! The seating was incredibly comfortable and spotless, making for a truly enjoyable movie-watching experience. It's clear they prioritize cleanliness, which is always a huge plus. But what really sets this place apart is its accompanying cafe. It's more than just a snack bar; it's a vibrant hub with an excellent selection of indoor games, including classics like Ludo and Tic-Tac-Toe, and even an indoor football game! This adds such a fun, unique dimension to your visit, perfect for pre-movie entertainment or just hanging out. The ambiance is also a major highlight. It's beautifully designed and incredibly photogenic – you'll definitely want to snap some pictures! And despite the fantastic setting and entertainment, the food prices are surprisingly reasonable, offering great value. Overall, this cinema offers a top-notch cinema experience complemented by a fantastic cafe with games and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This is a popular cinema hall near Sheoraphuli station, beside the G.T.Road. PROS: 1. Heritage & Location: It’s one of the older cinemas around (established 1946). Very conveniently located: near Sheoraphuli railway station and on G.T.Road - Makes it accessible. 2. Facilities after renovation / upgrades: One screen has been renovated to a plex model, with 2K projection, 3D silver screen. Air conditioning is present. Comfortable seating arrangements. Ticket prices are reasonable for what’s offered. 3. Show variety & experience: They screen both Bengali and Hindi films - Audience variety. The sound system and cozy environment in certain shows/screens is noteworthy. CONS: 1. Food Pricing: Popcorn, soft drinks etc. are kind of overpriced. 2. Show variety: Though Udayan offers good show variety it'd be great if they would try to offer Hollywood movies and Anime movies (Japanese) as well. OVERALL ASSESSMENT: If you want a relatively affordable cinema experience in Sheoraphuli, Udayan is one of the better choices, especially in the upgraded screen. For special occasions (first time, premium feel) you might prefer a newer multiplex, if available. The difference in screen / seat / cleanliness can be noticeable. If your priority is sound & picture quality, check which screen you’re booking (renovated vs older).

Hands down the best cinema experience in Hooghly. I have been here 3 times in the last 3 months. The seating is very comfortable. The sofa seats are better than PVR and INOX. The best part about this dual screen theatre is the food is so good and so affordable. Bring able to munch down popcorn or sandwich along with cold drinks while watching a movie all within budget is really comfortable for a average person.
