Best Vegetarian Food in kolkata for me. Cravings to eat only Vegetarian ends here. Suggest to open more branches in Kolkata, especially one in Salt Lake.

This is nostalgia for me, right from school days till today, decades of tremendous kochuri and torkari with the famous chatni… Over years the taste has been consistent and obviously price increases with inflation. Every time I come back to Kolkata for a visit, I ensure to relive the taste. Yesterday, was the first time I felt the taste has changed. For kochuri as well as goja. The torkari doesn’t remind me the nostalgia anymore, seemed the cooking has evolved, maybe for better only, but I missed my decade old taste.

The food here is tasty, and the place appears clean. Prices used to be very affordable, but they’ve increased significantly post-COVID. Unfortunately, flies often land on the sweets displayed outside the deli. It would be better if the staff addressed this or used an insect catcher.

I visited this sweet shop while on some official work in the area. It is situated between Ballygunge Phari and Gariahat. I visited on August, 2025. I found there was limited number of sweets and savouries. I asked for recommendations and was told everything is good. I had the moti pak and rabri. The moti pak was disappointing.The 3 stars review is for the rabri which was really good.

People say this sweets shop offers a wide variety of tasty snacks and sweets, including Hing Kachori, Radhaballavi, Gulab Jamun, and Lassi. They also highlight the consistent quality and nostalgic taste of the food.
