The best hotel to have Maharashtrian breakfast. This resturant is clean amd hygienic. Food is delecious and tasty. Rates are bit on upper side but it deserves being in pulsh area of Dadar. Name and legacy stands out to the hype. Sabudana vada is one of the many must try dish.
Ordered thali… though its value for money but very very very basic taste, aloo bhaji has no flavour at all, if you look at Varan it was just a daal boiled with some turmeric. Rest everything was good. If you go there, order snack items over thali. they’re good!
Visited Prakash Shakahari Upahar Kendra, Dadar West and had an amazing experience! Tried their Dahi Misal, Aloo Vada, and Kharvas for dessert. The Misal was perfectly balanced — not too spicy, which really allowed the rich flavor of the spices and farsan to stand out. The Batata Vada was tasty and fresh, and the Kharvas was super soft with a smooth texture. Overall, the food quality and traditional flavors were excellent. Just a note — they don’t accept online payments, so make sure to carry some cash when you visit. Highly recommended!
Prakash Shakahari Upahar Kendra is an iconic spot in Dadar with a rich legacy of over 50 years. It’s a wonderful place to experience authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. Don’t miss their legendary drink, Piyush—it’s even available in a half portion, so you can enjoy it without getting too full from just one item. Their thalipeeth is truly next level, and the sabudana vada served with a unique groundnut chutney is absolutely delicious. The food is flavorful and served by courteous, cooperative staff who follow traditional practices, including serving without footwear, which adds to the authentic experience. The place does not offer any parking. A must-visit point of interest when you’re in Dadar.
Authentic and simple Maharashtrian dishes. The Thalipeeth and Sabudana Wada were great, and the Kharvas is a must-try! Be ready for a 10-15 minute queue. Also, remember it's a Cash-only place-no UPI or cards. If taking a parcel, carry your own bag. Definitely worth a visit!"
